About Us - Meet Our Team

As a physician from Taiwan, Benjamin came to Houston in 2003 and worked at Texas Medical Center. In 2008, he joined a well-known school, the American College of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (ACAOM) as a part time faculty member, teaching Western medicine classes. Over a three-year period, he had an opportunity to learn more about Chinese Medicine. Being very interested in what he had learned, Benjamin decided to change his status from faculty to student. This was the beginning of his journey into Chinese Medicine. After 4 years of school, he gained a Master Degree of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (MAOM), and became a Licensed Acupuncturist under Texas Medical Board, as well as a Diplomate of Oriental Medicine under the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM).

Having a background in Western medicine allows Benjamin to better understand his patient’s ailments from both a Western and Chinese medical perspective. Benjamin’s knowledge of both worlds helps him provide more effective treatments for all of his patients.

Through his years of experience, Benjamin has seen patients benefit by combining the healing power of Chinese medicine with treatment from the contemporary Western medicine. As a result of Benjamin’s passion to introduce more people to the benefits of Chinese medicine, he has founded this new clinic, ACU4U Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine, located in the Texas Medical Center.

Benjamin’s goal is to provide convenient and effective treatments for the TMC physicians, healthcare staff, employees and their patients, as well as families from the surrounding areas.

David graduated with a Master’s degree in Oriental Medicine from The American College of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (ACAOM).  He is a nationally board-certified practitioner of oriental medicine and a licensed acupuncturist in Texas. Prior to his oriental medicine training, David holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from the University of Texas in Austin.  He has also obtained a Master of Science in Bioinformatics and Computational Biology from the University of Texas in Dallas. David first encountered acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine as a remedy for his seasonal allergy and chronic sinusitis. After experiencing the positive health impacts of oriental medicine first-hand, David decided to immerse himself in learning how acupuncture and oriental medicine can benefit and support the health issues we are facing today.

David enjoys working with people and helping them to achieve and maintain their health goals.  His focus lies in addressing the root cause of the conditions and helping his patients to live a healthy lifestyle while preventing future injuries.
